Well, that was a shock and a heartbreak I never saw coming.

Not sure how this ended up on my want-to-read list. The writing is clumsy and it seems like more of a cornball romance than I anticipated. I'm tempted to dnf, but trying to muddle through since some reviewers say the last 25% redeems it.

The plot of the book I'm listening to on Audible bears no resemblance to the one described here on Goodreads and on my library app. Same title, same main character and his dog, but completely different story. Go figure.

Such beautiful words, but so many of them. Meanwhile not much is happening.

Despite the subtitle, I'm not reading this so that I can understand the end times, nor does that seem to be the author's intention. Is such a thing even possible? I grew up in the Lutheran Church which takes the amillennial position, but after over 30 years in evangelicalism I'm exhausted with dispensational pre-millennialism.

I'm reading this with a couple of girlfriends. It should give us a lot to talk about.
