Although it has an interesting premise, the whole Rip Van Winkle motif, the style of writing made it difficult work for me to personally enjoy. The descriptions of the futuristic world I found to be awkward. The concept of the farmlands and suburban areas dwindling in favor of the cities was somewhat prophetic given the time the book was written. Overall, I would give it an 'okay.'
