Some light audio book reading for this week’s car drives

I’m doing a reading challenge on Dramione fan fics, and this is book 3 out of a bunch of them. With this one I honestly don’t understand wtf I’m reading! This is batshit crazy and my brain is short circuiting itself 🤯

Oh god I do not want to DNF this series, but I’m so close to it. I never read a book where I wanted to skip so many sentences. There’s so much world building and the MCs POVs are full of the same repeated whining and thoughts! I feel that nothing happens at all. Half of the kingdoms want to war and there’s just whining and self pity. Where’s the feral badass king warrior Slade?

If there’s a cocktail between Bewitched (by the same author) and ACOTAR, this is the book you want to read. And it’s fun!

FMC - Basically a sassy bounty hunter siren with lots of Selene and Feyre vibes. She has powers, badass ones, and is very lonely.

MMC - Basically white hair and grey eyed Rhysand with wings and shadows, and oh, he’s the King of the Night Kingdom.

Just started but I already have a phrase that I know I’ll cherish forever 🤍

I’m still finding the story meh-ish, and only going through it because of Oraya. After all that went wrong in the first book, with Vincent’s death and Raihn’s betrayal, I’m wishing that this book makes me like him again 😕

At chapter 33 and seriously, this book is being a fucking torture to read. This is not slow burn, it’s the highest level of torture ever. And the betrayals? And the dumbness of this FMC? I don’t understand at all.

Only giving a chance on reading this after the huge disappointment on the previous book because I’m still hoping the length of this one compensates in redeeming the most frustrating and insufferable FMC ever written and because I do wish for a totally deserved happy ending for Luther, Taran, Eleanor, Lily and Alix.
Also, please fucking die, Henri.
