This is really good. I'm eager to pick it up again.

I had no idea how rough her childhood was. There was abuse of all kinds.

She could have run away. There are programs for that. I understand leaving a sadistic person is hard. She is afraid. She's told people the truth only to be punished. She has a daughter. Her every move is tracked. Her solution is to hire a young attractive maid to trick her husband into moving his attention from her (wife) to the maid letting her (wife) go free? Btw, how does hubs always know what wife is plotting?

I am going to start skipping ahead. I'm kind of bored. I can tell things are starting to build, but I don't know how much longer I can wait! When will it all make sense!?!?!?!?!?

Cute start.

Finished yesterday. I liked it.

I do not like the audio. The accent makes it hard to follow at times. The volume is not regulated. One narrator is quiet then it switches to the other narrator and the volume jumps! I'm listening at night as I try to fall asleep. I can't have the volume be stupid like that. I don't think this books is for me. I might just breeze thru the ebook to get the gist.

Why is the narrator for Harper whispering internally?!?!?! The character is thinking in his head. Have I been lied to my whole life and people can hear my thoughts so I should have been whispering this whole time?!?!?!?

I'm becoming annoyed with some of these characters.

You know, sometimes I'm just dumb. How is it possible I ONLY JUST NOW noticed this is book 1 of a series? I have no idea when, or even if, book 2 will be released.

Sigh, this ends on a cliffhanger. Ugh. Story is still good. Review to come.

I knew all of this was coming. The author blew it when he referenced something. I assume it wasn't on purpose.
