I’m really not a fan of this book, but feel the need to press on. It’s like a really long textbook or dissertation of assigned reading. This could’ve been an email. 📧 Or at least an actual essay.

Chapter 3: Marty With Parents

Accidentally said I read more than I did… will I finish this book by the end of the year or will it be TLDR? Stay tuned. It really is interesting, but I find the presented facts/narrative repeats frequently in the same paragraph and chapter, and the tiny font makes my ADHD brain struggle to want to finish it.

If I wasn’t such a slow reader, surely I would have finished by now, haha. Rarely does a book captivate me and is something I actually look forward to diving back into, but this one takes the cake.

I feel I did not give it a fair rating, and upon having dealt with what Ava struggles with over the past few years, can reread it in this new understanding and light.

Very interesting! The writing makes me feel like I’m in history itself. Though very dark at times so have to pace myself.
