After 3 chapters I’m taking a break from lines like: “A pool of dark syrup crawled toward us.” “The delicate fingers of my rib cage tighten…” I have the ebook for 3 weeks and will go back after I read something else.

3 chapters in I had to take a break from lines like: “A pool of dark syrup crawled towards us.” And “The delicate fingers of my rib cage tighten”. Since I have the ebook for 3 weeks, I’ll try again after I read something else.

3 chapters into “The Library of Death” I had to take a break from lines like: “The delicate fingers of my rib cage tighten” “A pool of dark syrup crawled towards us”. Going back in hopes it gets better

Just have to say, for my sisters who have been there, set in Bruges!

I may try this again, but so far this is more about the powerful French families trying to use Catherine or smear her reputation. I read. “ The Devil’s Queen” by Jeanne Kalogrides years ago: she was a better writer, and, when I finally return to this, will probably find the same story.

Didn’t get past chapter 7. Sappy writing.

So far the writing is so sappy I don’t know if I can finish. Don’t know why it has such high ratings

Quit to read King of Scars…more to my liking…back to Cuckooland sooner or later.

100 pages in and I am so confused! And the print is so small… I may wait for large print or ebook.
