I needed a book to read, and Libby has a feature that lists available books in descending order of popularity. So here we are.

Pretty much an ode to how middle school science teachers are the generalists we will need to save the solar system.

So far I like Penny Reid’s rugby romances better. But I am enjoying the New Zealand milieu- having only read Nalini Singh’s fantasy, I had lost track of her being from NZ.

This book is almost intolerable. I picked it up because I love dogs and dog shows, but it looks like the author did zero research on the subject. It could have been fun to have a recovering beauty pageant queen try a beauty contest for dogs, but the author and character can’t even articulate their goals for the dog other than “win”. I might not be able to finish it.

It turns out I’ve already read this book, but that was before becoming a major Courtney Milan fan. Also, the audiobook, especially the female reader, gives a new dimension to the story.

I am a little reluctant to give Ravensong my time as it’s a retelling of Wolfsong from another character’s POV, which seems lazy IMO. But I’m trying.

Picked this up on the street. They definitely don’t write biographies like this anymore (good thing).

What a freaking struggle!

My yard is overrun with rabbits so I decided to check out this old favorite.

Now that Fraser’s Ridge is tying into specific historical location, it’s probably been located on a map. In the past, it was always “over there”, x days by foot to some real place.

Reading King’s Mountain paid off again as another historical character has been introduced, a woman gunpowder maker who is “forty miles” from Fraser’s Ridge.

I am having so much fun!

I chose well by reading King’s Mountain this month! Benjamin Cleveland has just made an appearance!

1) There are no spoilers in the family tree. Maybe there’s another one at the end?
2) This has been brought up in discussion groups, but I feel like I should drink a shot at the first mention of “he let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding” on page 14.
