This is delightful!
This book has one of the best opening lines I've read in a long time : "The air shimmered with a knowing beyond doubt."

I've just finished reading this!

This is a really good story with lots of twists and turns. I'm very keen to read the next instalment!

The characters are relatable and very engaging.

There are a few regular typos in the text, which I found annoying, but they didn't really detract from the story at all, but I am a stickler for those things. Even so, I'm not going to let that put me off. I want more of Tompkin's Academy!

It's interesting, enjoyable, and not predictable at all, which I really appreciate.
