Genuinely wild that I hate the first chapter so much but the rest has been pretty good. Like it’s predictable and definitely is beauty and the beast which I mean I think they even liken it to that story plus the author just writes a lot of that but so far it’s been holding my attention

I’ll say this, I wanted to see if someone has made art of Elang and they had and 1. That artist was either very generous or he’s just super hot half and half anyways 2. I learned something because I was on the wiki and I mean it wasn’t a big thing but like even still 😔 oops

I want to love this book, I like the setting and I like Shahrazad’s story. But like I don’t like her falling for her besties killer like immediately when she has someone she loved before apparently and then what he’s nice to her like once and she’s all over him? Also magic?!?

I genuinely can NOT get over magic being real every time I see it I’m taken out of the book

I think this book is very fun to see what the Jedi were like way way before they were even the Jedi. When they used the light and dark side of the force equally. It’s legends so not technically canon but I know they were wanting to make this one canon which is fun!

Tariq hasn’t met Khalid but I think they should just be a throuple no fighting wars, if she’s going to be dumb and fall for Khalid just let them all be together and make it make less sense

This is giving me strong Masquerade by O. O. Sangoyomi and sure it’s cause this story has been told before and blah blah but like it’s Masquerade and Arabian Nights except what we have real magic??? For why? I’m not vibing with that
