I have never read a book by Louise Erdrich, but I want to try. Any recommendations for where to start?

don't judge me or ask me questions. i can't not finish a series if i finish the first book.

Dr. Newport would probably hate that I'm giving my initial impressions before finishing the book! It seems like this is very focused on how to stay competitive in the workforce if you're a nerd. He draws a line between those of trying to make a living and people who have 'made it' in executive decision making roles and hyper rich people. Tho I'm inclined to agree w/ him, these socks are looking a little holey.

this is shaping up to perhaps be required reading for any texan.

reading this deep ecology book, i hold critiques of valuing lives of humans of color less than photogenic baby animals &dismissing anti-depressants as a crutch, a byproduct of our current environmental situation as opposed to a real medical need, invoking indigenous cultures without acknowledging race, & hippie transphobia, gender essentialism. but i do appreciate some of the coping strategies & tools Macy uses.
