I don't like Amnesia Laurence. I forgot how much he'd grown

Really enjoying the world building thus far. Writing is good and I am deep in the "Wanting to know more" phase.

I was provided with an ARC for review.

Really into this. I love this dragon society being fully developed. I mean, I wish it didn't have built in misogyny, but it's clearly the society, not the author. And it's based on dragon biological realities as well as cultural norms. And there's all the things that women do to try to fit in - essentially herbal Plan B for dragon physiology

Guys. This series is awesome. Gods and necromancers and I swear even when the story is about water rights it is fascinating. Dead gods have to go through bankruptcy and those necromancers are the lawyers. It's fascinating.

"There is no army of abolition. This is what the world has for heroes. Ordinary men, squabbling and prideful. Hassling each other, doing their best, busting the world free. And men like me, behind fake papers and clear-glass spectacles, keeping it chained. "

The tone of this feels so spot on for the Loki of Marvel. But of course this isn't that Loki and it does a good job of using modern language to express the uncertainty, the trickery and the outright malicious nature of the chaos being that becomes Loki, Odin's brother.
