Reader beware, even I, a stone person, has now cried reading this book, and I’m barely half way through. He’s not on Goodreads, but I bought this for my dad, and want to reread it and highlight all my favorite parts, and I hope he does too. This book is so special.

Replace drawing with writing…

Status update: I still haven’t cried, but this book is wearing away at my stone person exterior, and I fear I will never the same once this book is done. 😭😭

It’s a miracle I haven’t cried yet, and I’m terrified this book will break my heart. That being said, it’s SO GOOD.

The 2nd thing I asked her was “which of your books is your favorite”, and like any good parent she said none. Just kidding, the one closest to her heart is this one, because she kept reading spooky books with MMC and wanted to see a FMC, so she wrote her own. QUEEN! I can’t wait to read this, and even if it isn’t the GREATEST book I’ve ever read, I’ll love it for this reason!

When I ✨met✨ Christina Henry (plz hold your applause til the end 😜), I asked her 1. How the HECK she writes entire books in a notebook first, and she told me when they’re in the notebook they’re stories just for her, and it’s takes the pressure off of her about publishing the book and so on. I love this, and bought a notebook that has 1 page written in it…. So far…

Please let this be the trashy thriller I so desperately need!

I was VERY scared that this was going to be one of those “it was him all along” books, and I’m still not convinced it isn’t going in EXACTLY that direction, but I have SOME hope…

You guys, this book is pretty good! No hanky panky….yet 😘 also, the narrator is excellent. It reads like a movie, and I’m here for it!

The narration is TOP TIER! I would have missed out by eyeball reading!

Omg, sorry, but we just got the “not like other girls” my favorite trope. I think it’s also fair to mention, I have no idea who this person was and didn’t follow them on insta. You could say I’m “not like other insta people”

Guys, I don’t think I like memoirs, I’m sorry! I’ll keep trying. I think this one is extra special tho, because I’m not sure if she’s sharing her journey, or like teaching me how to be insta famous…?

This book is literally a fever dream. I can’t stop reading it, but as of right now it’s as deep as puddle. If you’re looking for depth, yain’t gonna find it here.

Ok we are back to full suspension of reality. I don’t HATE this book, but I’m also like “what if I just let AI ruin this for me (while it’s simultaneously ruining the world)” I think we have a DNF folks.

Ok I’m back and actually like this book.

I’m concerned I’m in the midst of the 40% DNF club. This book is as saccharine as they come so far. I love happiness and things working out, but that can’t be the ONLY thing happening… please don’t let it be the only thing…

I love this book, what’s really funny is it reminds me SO MUCH of another book that is a completely (trust me COMPLETELY) different subject matter. It’s called “Open Minded” by Chloe Seagar. If you like this book, and you’re open minded WINK, you’ll love the other.

Some thoughts…. I am now realizing how annoying it is to hear “he said/says” or “she said/says” after EVERY sentence. For any authors reading, trust our deductive reasoning as readers of your books. I also wish narrators had some freedom to just OMIT it, because woof I GET IT.

Next, if I hear/read “protect her” once more I’ll snap. That said, I’m enjoying this book. Believe it or not, she said.
