I know I'm supposed to take this book seriously but when the hero is parading around in a black silk robe that shows off his chest, in order to garner a reaction and entice the heroine, I can only laugh.

This book has been recommended so often but I am wobbling. I am swapping between reading and listening but I am not really feeling the love.

I was expecting more from this much-hyped book. I am going to set it aside for now.

DNF for now

I'm undecided. I know Zapata is known for slow burn books but so far this is proving to be a slog.

This book is hilarious! Never mind the hero and heroine, Bellini is an absolute cracker.

Likely heading for the DNF pile...

I am finding the book a real struggle. I have dipped in and out of it for ages and still haven't reached the halfway mark. Are we there yet?

Argh! As much as I loathe it, I can accept the odd typo but I really wish authors would learn to use the correct words. So, Ms Ellis, please learn the difference between assent (what you meant) and ascent (what you wrote). Also, there is significant difference in meaning between waver (what you meant) and waiver (what you wrote).
