i think its dumb goodreads wont let me add two different versions of the same book to my currently reading shelf. im reading the og bone season alongside the updated 10th anni edition and comparing the two and its SOMETHING. choices were certainly made !

I know I don't usually post updates anymore but i feel like im going crazy because im listening to the audio and Mazens narrator keeps repreating lines and is he getting them wrong and then repeating them correctly?? did no one else notice this????????

The pacing feels....off. It's moving slowly but also time jumping at seemingoy random moments so it's also going fast? It's weird and I'm not sure this is a book for me writing wise but i love the take on gender

I hate these "im the smartest" "no IM the smartest!" games of wits its the very reason i stopped watching sherlock its boring just move the plot forward and get on with it

It's very hard to feel sad when a character dies if we've only had /maybe/ two short scenes with them. I don't know this person, how am i supposed to feel the same way their friends do when they die?

Ah i see my problem is id much rather read about Ia's criminal activity, you know all the stuff that happened before the events in this book

These events all seem really disjointed /:

It started strong but lost me when it was revealed erin stole evidence....even if they ever reopened the case chain of custody is broken and any good defense attorney would move to throw everything out. She broke seals on evidence bags! And now a shitty romance on top of it all? Ugh :/

I don't want ti say this romance came out of nowhere because i had a feeling they'd be the couple here but its like one moment ad and jost hate each other and the next theyre kissing?? Theres a lot of jumping around here its disorienting

"I can love him but i cant depend on him to be my backbone" heck yeah!! I have a lot of issues with this series so far but juliettes growth is so wonderful and im glad teens got to see this in a book
