Getting super frustrated with this book. The author makes unfounded connections between treatments for epilepsy and treatments for ADHD and hypes up organic food without addressing the fact that many organic foods still use harmful pesticides.

So far, I am in love with this book. Especially with how the author treats the victims not as throw-away plot devices, but as multifaceted characters whose loss is felt by the community at large in ever-increasing ways. SO GOOD.

Mr. Knightly arguing that he isn't biased against Frank Churchill, he just KNOWS that Frank is pretty much a loser, is a CLEAR case of "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." LOL

I can't believe it's been 2 years since I've read this book. Time to reacquaint myself!

Only managed to get one chapter in, but the author never fails to start the stories off with some heart-pounding excitement!

So far, this has been a really informative book, and I can apply it both to academic writing and my fiction writing.

I'm actually enjoying this one much more than the first one so far. What can I say, the whodunit aspect is just too compelling! Plus, Northanger Abbey is one of my favorite Austen works. :D

So far, so good. I watched the movie before I read the book, and there are substantial differences, but I like this one as well as the movie (which I love). I'm looking forward to continuing on!

So far, I am liking what I have read. I like the dynamic and friend-chemistry between Mark and Kate. There's a bond that they share that seems to genuine, as both of them are coming from similar places, and have faced similar challenges, challenges others haven't. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.

I just spent the last hour or so completely wrapped up in this book. It's SOOO good, I can't wait to find more time to dedicate to it. LOVE the depth in the characters, and the plot just thickened CONSIDERABLY.

I still really, really, REALLY don't like Richard.

But David is swiftly becoming one of my favorites. Also, Silas being a big, protective bear is my favorite thing ever.

No lie, I'm taking a break from listening to this book right now. BAD THINGS ARE COMING FOR THESE LOVES, I KNOW THEY ARE AND IF I STOP NOW THEN EVERYONE STAYS SAFE AND SOUND. THAT'S HOW IT WORKS, RIGHT?!?

I adore Rory. His sarcastic and biting insults to put distance between him and Arthur and to protect himself make me feel SO SEEN.

As much as I'm enjoying the book, the mention of Blake and the reference to his poetry pretty much just has me taking out my English Lit books and rereading Blake. Sorry not sorry, I ADORE William Blake.

So far, so good. An interesting take on the traditional rags-to-riches story, I'm enjoying it, though it hasn't grabbed me like some of Charles' other books. Still, there's time. ;)
