First tears. I have a feeling there will be more. But they're good tears.

WHAT. THE. FUCK!

I just learned that Jimmy Page played on Joe Cocker's version of "With A Little Help From My Friends," which means I might love that song a little bit more. This is why I read rock and roll books; I love the tangled web of who played on what with whom when they were all in other supergroups.

While reading the last non-fiction book I've read, "Lone Survivor," I found myself pulling up Google Earth on my phone and searching for the Afghan locations in the story. I've begun doing that while reading "Ghost Rider" too. I highly recommend it. It's nice to pull up the satellite images and follow the same roads from above that Peart rode on his journey.

I really love how Lutrell is calling out the media for their usually illl-informed sensational stories and the liberal government's ridiculous rules of engagement in modern warfare that have our soldiers afraid that killing the enemy could land them in prison with a murder charge back home. Like he says, leave the business on the ground to the guys that are there and know what's going on.

I generally detest politics but feel Bush was sometimes too harshly criticized. Been interesting learning about his decision making process. So far I've read the basics (entering politics), the surprisingly interesting (personnel), but the most enlightening was the stem cell research chapter. I don't agree w/most of his religious beliefs, but his explanation of his decision was very informative & settling.

I wish I could call in sick to work and stay up all night reading this book. I don't want to stop. SO GOOD.

learning about the differences between insight & logic. i'm really loving this section of the book.
