LOVING how hilariously disrespectful the author is about the doomsday cults and the deep research that went into this. Especially the social history and beautifully showing the continuity and normalization into present day Christian fanaticism with people gleefully foaming at the mouth at the prospect of the world ending. Out here describing 90% of the people I know and saying all the things I've wanted to say lol!

Absolutely LOVING this! I'm obsessed with ballet & horror & this is a book about a queer angry black ballerina out for supernatural power. Yes please! But...now I'm meant to believe that there's a creepy dude going around whistling Danse Macabre? Giving this the side eye. There is NO WAY someone can whistle that. It's iconic and suits the vibe of the book but come on....ain't no way.
