Holy hell, this book is a struggle. It sounded interesting, yet here we have another male author who can't write a decent female character... Or, to be honest, any character since the men are just as flat. This book is 100% tell and no show. And as far as I can tell it's just about the Catholic church with an inquisition/crusades mashup. Haven't worked out what the main plot is.
