Hooked already! What an original take on a devastating illness in the high times of Hollywood. Given the author, I expect nothing less. Amanda Skenandore other works are fantastic. Don’t miss her great books!

A tad slow. Lots of info about breast feeding continues and how she is going through all this activity while managing a young infant. I’m anxious to finish it and try one of her other novels. Hopefully. The lead character won’t have stress incontinence.

If you’re nursing a baby, you may really appreciate this book. I’m not. But I have to find out how it ends.

Janice is finished with In the Lake of the Woods
Fantastic story (noted after reading 50%)

Completed the book five days ago. I’m going to be very honest in suggesting that if you are queasy reading an author who spares nothing when it comes to death and dying, I would recommend another read. For me, his descriptions were realistic and the story builds upon this acute anxiety to leave you a bit weak in the knees. Tim O’Brien leaves you breathless.

For lovers of California, and those of us that camp the eastern Sierras. This is a daughter’s memoir that will knock your socks off!

I love, 💕, love this book! It is an original, fast moving, unexpected, and generally delicious. I’m not even done with this book and I’ve recommended it to so many people. Don’t miss this book.

I have tried a few times to finish this book, but for some reason I just haven’t been able to connect. My apologies to the author. I’m sure it is me.

Just love this memoir! It reads like a novel. I feel like I’m sitting down with her talking, laughing and sharing our stories. We grew up about the same time so I’m really relating to her. This author is talented. I hate to finish it

FANTASTIC BOOK! Paranormal, thriller with appropriate medical care for the date in the storyline and fairly light and quite humorous injuries to people like me that have been in the ER battlefield since the 70’s.
Off to read the conclusion. I certainly hope the author is whipping out more novels.
