The exercises are very deceptive and use advanced concepts of shading, perspective, and choice of pencil that are not at all explained. I kinda had to figure it out for myself And Why, on earth, include examples of the work of very advanced “students” as examples and then have the “noive” (I am from Brooklyn) to tell us rank beginners who have never drawn a thing in our lives that we should not lose confidence????

This is such a sweet idyll that I keep procrastinating about finishing it. I am just not ready to let it go yet.
