When it takes you half way through the book to realize why there is a scorpion on the cover… and you are a Spanish native speaker… 😑😑😑

Using Ludacris’ “Move Bitch Get Out da Way” to get the cows out of the way got me cackling!!! 🤣🤣🤣 It did not, in fact, work to get them out of the way.

For a character that claims to love Disneyland, she is not much of an actual Disney fan. She knows nothing about how the story of Sleeping Beauty goes, so her hissy fit was not necessary.

The main female character is driving me a bit crazy.

Depending on how this one ends, it might be my favorite of June, and possibly the year if nothing else good comes along.

Why do I like this story more than the first book?

This book is driving me nuts. Something tells me the author despises the LDS church because she keeps bashing it, and the writing is all over the place. I know the POV changes each chapter, but even then, it’s the plot isn’t connecting.

This book is not as interesting as I thought it would be. Slow going.

“See you both at your funeral.” First time I’ve seen this as not a threat. Bahahaha!

This getting on and off of La Bestia is stressing me out!!! I guess it’s an overall safe strategy, but it keeps putting me on edge!!! >_<

Stopping here for the night, right before their attempt to board La Bestia. Don’t want to try to sleep with that stress in my mind. Or I won’t sleep wanting to know if they do get on safely. I don’t know…

This book is vibing more like ACOTAR, but with a different plot, and vampires and werewolves lightly thrown in the mix. Don’t know how I feel it about it, other than it feels like it’s own stand alone book, disconnected from the others by a lot.

Ok, this book has really dragged on. Pushed me into a reading slump. The best scenes are the ones where Celine and Bastian are together. Which is not a lot in this book. I know she lost her memories of him, but MAN!

At this point, the last book better be about Finbarr.

Talk about a bitter reunion. Patrick deserved it though. Sort of…
