I can't stop chuckling at the cliche aspects of this so far.

Oooooo this book has been so good! The writing isn't repetitive, the imagery is amazing. It's not a cookie cutter scenario. I truly hope this ends in a great way.

She either doesn't because Evie knew she would be devastated losing income, or she begrudgingly agreed.Possibly Evie throwing out the idea if she disappeared, her mom would be flocked with attention. Even though in reality it would die out at some point. But maybe the audience her mom already has would continue to support her.

I think either the boyfriend isn't a total douche bag and helped.. or Evie found out he was sleeping with her best friend Ashlyn.
If the mom knows about Evie's plan: I'm still on the fence.

Ok, I'm right after the search party and in the middle of a flashback where Evie is asking Rachel not to post a picture Rachel took.

I now think that Evie was tired of being under a microscope and wanted to vanish. Change identity, everything.

I really enjoyed the lead up to this point. Was not expecting the different points of view but really appreciated seeing to understand each thought process.... but damn Polly lol

I know the author is really trying to push that the husband did it, but I really really think it was Rachel. Clocked it with the underpass and the connection of betrayal Megan had to her own husband. Just really curious who the red haired guy is and what's his deal.

On page 76, Vatia is attacked by the snake. I think it's slightly odd how Thrasius made the comment, "only the day before I had convinced Apicius to give her a raise in her peculium." So far with how Apicius is acting, I have a slight feel he's actually the bad guy. There's this lead up that the whole time his mother was bad, but maybe he's been sabotaging the whole time!
