I picked this one up for a book club- not my normal genre- but unfortunately it seems to be melting my dead, cold heart. At a little over halfway through, I'm enjoying the banter of this slow-burn romance, and I am entirely ready to move to a (slightly dilapidated) house in Ireland.

The real monsters here are racism and patriarchy. Vampires aren't great either.

Okay, yes, vampires are the bad guys here, but also and perhaps more importantly the patriarchy.

Rose is so chaotic, and I love her.

This book keeps making me pause to Google things. To be clear, I like this.
