Well this is an interesting SciFi. It is a combination of First Contact, a great mystery and even a love story all with excitement on every page. Makhotra has done a great job of writing a contemporary story that is out of this world and is still believable. I can't wait to get back to it tonight.

I got hooked in this story right from the first paragraph. I am not sure what genre it fits, Colonization, Space Exploration, Space Opera and one I don't see on the special list of SciFi genre, SciFi Mystery. This one is a mystery with all of the other genre I listed above wrapped into it. Great characters, a new bunch of ideas and a different look of what to do with long space travel. I can't wait to get to it.

Well I wasn't sure about a Military book until I got to meet Carson Mach who is my kind of hero. The type that curses, is a heavy drinker and breaks all the rules, yet you place your money on him to get the job done. Yes I am going to read the full set.

I made it through the first book in this box set of 3 and did enjoy the characters and the story. I am looking forward to the next one and recommend this set.

What a trip. Someone recommended this to me and I need to buy that person a drink. This book is starting out with a bang. Yes folks it is Space Opera all the way with a female leader that no one trusts and four people that are in trouble and hate each other and are already planning on how to kill the other guys in the group. On top of that they need to steal something from the most evil man in the universe. Yaahoo

Each book in this series is as good as the last. I am not the least disappointed as I read the next so #4 could be said the same story over again, but with a different twist and new and old enemies and again DaCosta finds a great way to keep me reading as she gets them out of their troubles. The Captain is human with lots of failings yet is the hero he won't acknowledge. I love these stories.

This one is not for me, it reads like a 1950 comic book. I am dropping it from my library.

Wow, I found a true Space Opera Novel and why I love this genre. A real hero that is badass but good inside. If you don't mind a few cuss words and more than a touch of sex, then you will enjoy the trouble, fights, killing and jumps through space. I can't wait to get back to this tonight. He is in trouble on each page and get some sex on every other, what more can you ask for?

This was recommended to me by a friend and I want to thank him. I am not sure what genre it is, I guess fantasy youth. I never thought I would read a story of a 17 year old boy playing football and enjoy every page. But what a great story. It was a great ride for a person who mostly enjoys true SciFi. The mystery that hides in the pages and the characters are something to follow. The ending was a little disappointing

I am into the Unsung Armada and I still like the fact that the hero is always fighting overwhelming odds and has his exwife in front of him all the time. Now he has a small problem, he must save the galaxy, hmm. LOL what a ride. I can recommend Scott Bartlett so far.

Just got through the first book and I loved it. Great character building with both the good guy and the bad guy. I never want to be in close contact with a smoker again LOL. The plot is really interesting and now I do want to read the next book in this group of five. I look forward to getting into it tonight. Ogden does a great job of building a life both out in space and on future Earth.

Still enjoying this strange story written in a different mode. I can't wait to get back into it tonight.

I am just getting started into this three book set and enjoying this tongue in cheek story of a lost astronaut who has found a new life out in space and is building a crew to do who knows what. So far as I am just getting started I am enjoying the humor and the characters so I am looking forward to my late night reading.

OMG Bruce Willis in Die Hard only several thousand years in the future with a crazy AI. This is too good. I have discovered Chaney and his writing partner Moon in their other series, but I may have found a new favorite author. J. R. Ward will have to move over on my top lists of people who write better than anyone. Hooray!!!

Just stated this book with angels and a planet far away were children go instead of to heaven. Very different and has me caught. I will look forward to read more tonight.

Since I just finished the first book and am only a few pages into the second, I guess I must say I am only barely into this series. I must confess I picked it up because it was cheap, only 99 cents but now I am truly impressed by the characters that James and Young have put into this exciting group of stories. Of course I am looking forward to get into the next story to see what tricks the aliens throw at our heros.

Well I needed something to read in this 'stay at home' besides working on my own novels and here is this big, big bundle. The first story has my interest as Mr. Robinson has built a couple of good characters, so now I am looking forward to getting into many nights of long reading. Great.

Well author Chaney gives us a hero we are suppose to hate. One that cusses and smokes cigars and kills at whims. Yet of course in a smart undertone, Chaney gives this evil assassin a tiny good side so here I sit, just getting started and cheering him on. Good excitement from page to page.

I am still disturbed by the sadistic turn that the author throws into the stories. There is a sort of effort to prove that both the good and the bad succeed in these novels. The author does spend more time in filling out the characters of the 'good' hero but the bad guys win on a regular basis. The story is of the type I can't give it a good STAR award but I can't put it down either.

I can't believe at my elder age I am reading a story about teens and their usual acne problems and really enjoying it and getting into not only the theme but the characters. Of course I find the saviors of these Earth teens to be too sadistic for my taste but still there is the need for me to read each page to find not only how it ends but how the teens make it through each day. Recommended.

Of course this book won the best of all prizes and it should. What great characters. A captain with a scar on his face and a hidden project and a small young bumbling crewman called Mouse who we all want to help. I can't wait to get into it tonight.

JR Ward is my favorite author. I get away from her for a while and then I come across one of her books that I missed and buy it. What can I say about her world of males so beautiful and her words that are straight from the alleys of the darkest and poorest city neighborhoods. As she brings a new bad boy into the Black Dagger group, you immediately fall in love with them.

Well I don't think I like this one as much and the first three. It is a little off the track. The ending is telegraphed from the start so I know how it is going to end - too bad. Nathan - you have done better and shown a smarter group at the top of the leaders who run the ships. Tsk.

This is a recommended story and I will read the rest of the series. It is a different idea that I really like. I seldom find anything new in SciFi so I find it interesting to get a well rounded story with a female lead that is also a new idea in a new setting. Great work.

This one is a surprise on the down side but is getting better. According to the hype it is a New York best seller SciFi. It started out a bit of an old 50's kids story with obvious bad guys and a princess called (You got it) Layla. Geez But it is getting better as Earth gets involved. The author gets better after he gets beyond teen stories so I will stick with it. I will let you guys know more later.

Not my thing so I quit and dropped it. I am sure this will interest a lot of other. I am into a deeper 'space opera' genre.

Wow, I keep getting into deep thinking stories. Well at least this one is a little lighter and gives some interesting things to also think about. Hmm. I will read this one to the end just to see who gets something for nothing.

I picked this book up to learn. It is a great story to help us understand what we are sometimes afraid to ask.

This is good reading for the space fighter. It has kept my interest and I can see the growth of Mr. Walker in this series. There are some typos but I don't downgrade on these, just surprised. I love his later work and find how he built his characters from this series. I will finish it with pleasure.
