4.5 stars - unlike anything I’ve read in years!

Simply put, Nora’s writing speaks to my soul.

Such a weird book to rate. Loved the concept and the nod to rape culture, but it was just too long.

This is such a struggle for me to read. I can't tell if I don't like the story or if this is a symptom of my reading slump.

The point of this book is not for you to like Leonard Peacock! You don't have to like someone and agree with their choices to feel empathy for them or wish that their life circumstances were different. I rarely think books deal well with the complexities of rape and suicide, but this one did. And just remember, people all over are walking around with pain like this waiting for someone to give a sh*t.

I'm so over Mare, but this is a trilogy I'll have to finish. Just like the first book, I never found myself truly enjoying what I was reading. It's a good mindless read and that's what I needed today. Meh.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's one of those plots that has come at the perfect time in my life. I love the perspective this gives on relationships, forgiveness, and living life to the fullest.

Anyone who enjoyed The Girl on the Train or Gone Girl would enjoy this YA thriller. I thought I knew what was about to happen, but in the end, I had no idea. What a twisted little book about teenaged female friendships.
