waiting for this to become a horror, or god forbid, even just a little interesting

This feels like I'm reading a bedtime story to myself

The best books are the ones you steal from airbnbs

frank don't make it too weird i beg you

will probably do hard drugs to finish this book today so i can talk about it in bookclub

me, a true-crime hater: finally some good fucking food

(perdonami clarice in questo momento ho la testa troppo vuota per apprezzarti)

dan is much more pathetic here than in the movie, awkward king

will be interesting to see if haushofer can keep interest up, since there is no imminent threat/goal to be achieved/new characters to meet and we're only one third of the way through

nice discussions on who we are (esp women) when we are not being perceived in a society

already had my top moment of 2024 on jan 4th when i discovered that the pagliacci joke comes from watchmen

Best airport purchase since those chicken nuggets in 2015

i read these 70 pages twice so i'm at 140 technically

i just know something terrible is going to happen before the end of this book and i Don't Want to See it!!!

"Io, insomma, dovevo vivere, vivere, vivere."

io e il vicino di casa romano sessantenne complottista di mattia pascal siamo la stessa persona

this is the first book i read to ever come even close to "a little life"'s flavour of torture porn

Love the strength and resilience of these characters but Dear God I'm not in the right mood to read about the period-accurate constant violence against women (nor will I ever be, probably).
