This is a Reddit recommendation. I bought it to help my 8 year old process her grief. She's had a lot of loss in her life - 2 beloved pets, 2 great grandparents, and my mom.

Wipe 'em all out. Makes sense.
Blue proved that compliance doesn't help. Admiral proved that words aren't enough. Only violence on a grand scale can shift the balance of power.
Sure.

I knew it was coming. Being prepared made it worse, somehow.

This secret trope is stupid. Tell her why you can't say and ask her to trust you. It makes sense not to ask for trust from an Heir, or even from one of the friends they've made so far. But from your twin? That's dumb. The authors are so committed to having this miscommunication plotline that they are shredding the characters' credibility and intelligence.

This got more interesting now that she's on a different ship. Harsh, Sugar, and Blossom were boring.

This series has a lot of issues. One that seems pretty easy to fix is keeping their characters in character. There's no way a foster kid from the streets of Chicago says pram instead of stroller. Add that to Taylor Swift playlists on the Atlas and Orion getting Spidey senses... just pick your world building ans stick to it. So annoyong.

Examples of why I'm bored: in chapter 27, we could not get through a conversation without reviewing every inside thought Lily had in between every line of dialogue. In chapter 28, every breath, movement, pause, and inside thought during the scene with Greg was listed in detail, drawing the moment out. This didn't make the moment more poignant or impactful; just long. And I still have over 14 hours left of this.

This book started of so strong. The help desk in hell, where she can let off some of that customer service steam, is a great concept. Turning it into a love story with demons is fun, if a little obvious. The Sharkie arc has potential. The incessant "Princess" and "Big Guy" is obnoxious and cringey. I can see how this works as a web comic, but I'm getting bored.
