Ah the problem with big expectations 🥲 Evan was my favorite character in book #1, and I think it's mostly because we didn't get his point of view then. I absolutely HATE his point of view. It destroys the whole mystery about him. So now, we have a lot of tell, and not show.

I was reading Spectred Isle, and I realized that it's in the same world as Simon Feximal. I think some of the characters are even related to him? Anyway, since I never finished The Secret Casebook, I figured that it was the perfect time to pick it back up.
