As a mother who has raised two intrepid outdoor adventures, this book hit home in a heartbreaking way. Who is the better parent: the one who teaches their kids to explore the wild backcountry knowing there are risks or the one who keeps them safe in a bubble and doesn’t lie awake at night worrying? I don’t think either Dial or I have the answers, but I also don’t think we have many regrets, either.

So far, this is one of the best books I've recently read.

I'm only two-thirds of the through and I've already learned so much from Nasiri's experiences. I have a much better understanding of conflicts in the Middle East, as well as more reliable context to better gauge current events in Syria, Egypt, Palestine, etc.

Well, here we go. I see reviewers here either love it or hate it.
