Gottverdammt. I'm still planning to finish because the plot is interesting, but why oh why did they have to [spoiler] [spoiler] the [spoiler]. I hate when stories do that!

Slow starter, but seems to be moving along now

Enjoying this so far, but I don't love how the subplot with the Madrigal is being handled. It feels... convenient? unearned? Not sure how to articulate.

I didn't know if it's the author or the editor, but this book does not do a good job of indicating change in narrator. It's written in first person, and alternates between two people. But the POV shifts mid-conversation, and it is not always immediately clear who is talking.
(I tried listening to the audiobook, and it is even worse in that format.)

Short book, should be a very quick read.

Gurl, really?!? Unprotected sex with a literally anonymous guy? YOU'RE A NURSE! Also, calling a person "it" is incredibly dehumanizing and not okay.

Well, it's the last of the series. I'm hoping it won't be a disaster.

I swear, there is just a crap-tonne of tragedy porn around the gay/bi characters in this series. It's kind of disturbing.

Lizzie, you're acting stupid. Like, I understand why, and in your position I would be the same, but dayum, gurl.

Interesting premise thus far. Also, adding this to the GBLTIA+ protag books, so there's a point in its favour.

Really?!? We're really doing this?!? I don't care if it doesn't actualize, the threat is enough, and I am *very* disappointed.

I understand that the same actions when undertaken by a male character and a female character have different social weight and implication. But I'm still not okay with Eliza setting Wellington up so he'd be forced to see her naked. That's still not cool.

First read this a few years ago, am now re-reading. I have complicated feelings re: Akeldema (stereotype, but deliberately, & has his own awesomeness)

Okay, I confess, "bookish person who is a secret badass" is a favorite trope of mine (not calling this a spoiler, because if you were paying attention, you probably have guessed it by the end of the first chapter)

Ruh-ro, looks like our dynamic duo is going to get grounded.
Also, aside, can I just point out that I *hate* that we keep seeing Dr. Sound called "the Fat Man"? Like, really loathe?

I'm feeling really uncomfortable by the way Eliza is so aggressively coming on to Wellington. I mean, dude, that's nearly SA. Just because she's a woman don't make it cool. Clean up your act, Lizzie!!

The story is actually starting to drag, losing the momentum that was carrying me. And Dave is even more of a misogynist [expletive] than I expected.
