Re-reading this wonderful book. I absolutely loved it at age 12. Interesting to compare my view of the book after 50 years distance....so far it's still very good, even as I see things differently and know much more actual history. It might be even better this time around.

Re-reading this great book. Last read it around 1996 & loved it.

7/102017: Page 350. It's better on this re-reading. Boorstin makes some profound points. Not Christopher Dawson or Jacques Barzun, but not far off either. He's highly readable which also helps. Not Gibbon or MacCauley, but a decent stylist.
