Onward through the collection. Some really excellent stories so far.

I've finally (more-or-less) caught up to myself. In theory, I read one story from this anthology each time I finish a book, since I find my impression of Best-of anthologies As Books is always more or less the same--they tend to be less cohesive than a single-authored or themed collection and are often organized in ways that encourage treating each story as a separate entity and the book as more a record than a read.

So far this is a very enjoyable read! Good advice (in some senses) and always charming and even amusing.

As usual, this is being read story by story between other books; but so far it's been a great assortment of stories.

So far I'm really enjoying this! A fine literary history in the making--hope it keeps on this path!

It's my current project book--using the Gutenberg Project edition, so it's an old translation.

I just finished the second part of the book; it had some really lovely moments, though also some I am dubious about

Through part 1 of the collection; I'm enjoying it well enough, but it isn't sticking, so we'll see what happens when my decidedly undisciplined reading of it takes me to the end

Coming along, if slowly

This will be my next project book. I started it today, but the poems/essays are just a tad too essayistic rather than poetic for sustained reading in the mood I'm in right now

I forgot it at home in my move, will recover eventually. I'm picking up a new project book in the interim

Moving through Prodigal though not super fast--Gregerson is understated and electric so far.

Through section 1; so far I'm enjoying it

This has been a long-term background project (mostly reading at night before going to bed; some periods where I haven't really read it), but it's coming along!

Slowly keeping on with Spenser's epic

Beginning book 3

Near the beginning of Book Two; this is my current largest project (and the one that least easily takes to breaking apart, but I am finding it too long and difficult to want it to be the only thing I'm reading--especially since it uses the original Renaissance spelling)

I'm also slowly working my way through the Faerie Queene, but I was getting a bit tired of devoting all my reading energy to deciphering Renaissance spelling, so this is happening in the interim

I've been behind on my reviewing, so I didn't want to put this here even though I've been slowing making my way through whenever I had the time to read a little. So far I'm really enjoying it.

Just finished "The Wretched and the Beautiful"

Finished. Review to comr
