Really enjoying this so far, made a lot of notes in my notebook. The foreword summarized my feelings on writing military fiction well. Read the first story; brutal stuff, I like the writing style too. And the Sergeant's distaste for their plundering the bodies of the fallen enemies. Then there were the small gestures of tenderness between the men; so nice to see.
