Actually, I am not in a very good mental state. How terrible does this book affect people?

Woolf has an interesting and distinctive writing style. Never have I seen so many semicolons in less than a page.

Re-reading this because I forget how the story goes and I haven't read the last book of the trilogy yet. Hm, I remember a little.

I need light book to recover from the dungeon where the last book has trapped me in.

I think it is not the intention of the author to enrich you with political tactics. They concentrates more into the depth of human emotions as we can see from several of its foreshadowing paragraphs which honestly have caused stings in my heart, knowing what would happen. Another way to put it: rather than portraying the characters from their heroism, we get a glimpse of their lives as, simply, human beings.

Hm, I thought this book would be heavily political. Rather than getting into the characters' supposedly complicated brainstorming to come up with a plan to overthrow the government, I saw more passages which explained the interpersonal connections between each character. But so far I enjoy it.

How to always get motivated? Having the mindfulness is only the first step into getting motivated and to eventually start doing something.

There are certain points keep being repeated. Some of them fall into the category of confirmation bias where to me it seems to be purely coincidental. Also, at this point, the law of attraction itself is no longer talked much. It is just a normal motivational book with things I already know.

Someone shoved this book to me a few days ago saying that it contains some interesting and helpful things. It's a non-fiction book so let's give it a go because it may help me with this year challenge. I'm not personally a very religious person and not particularly interested in the so-called parapsychology or meta-science kind of-stuff, but again let's give it a go.

This is completely OOT but when this part came in, I was listening to Howl's Moving Castle and specifically on the "A Walk in the Skies" track. My heart is blooming like flowers in the spring but with tears glistening in my eyes.

Pierre had gone so far from home. Watching him is like watching your own kid growing up.

This is a full history lesson with maps included. I literally just looked for the 1812 French invasion of Russia maps a page before this Battle of Borodino map right after popped up.

It's my third time reading Russian literature, the first two were translated by Constance Garnett. They were difficult to read. This third time is so much more recent as it is translated by Pevear and Volokhonsky. Mon Dieu, it is so much more readable than the older one!!! I heard that Maude and Briggs' translations are also very good!!!!!!!!

It is always hard to start a classic. Grasping the idea and understanding the situation take longer time to do compared to some more contemporary works, especially if you're not a native English speaker like me. Not to mention, the alternating English and French passages. I'm crying.

Just finished reading The Hunger Games's prequel, so..... May the odds be ever in my favor to be able to finish this book. Even better, this year. *praying*

There's a striking difference between the first two parts with the third part and I just started reading this third part. It feels so isolated from the previous parts. The romance also seems very.... abrupt. I don't feel any spark at all.

I really enjoy this so far! The Capitol world building is very good like the trilogy was. And Snow, I really like him as a character here. His personality is so chef-kissed and just so fun to read. Very, very engaging. I can't wait to finish the whole book and I try so hard not to spoil myself off by not reading the Wikia page.
