i love how succinctly the author captures the spirit of a player/ event/ historical fact/ general observation. im garnering hella understanding for why they call soccer the beautiful game.

do not be steered away by the self help sounding title, this is a brilliant book which does a deep dive into “games” , their scoring systems, and the effects they have on us and society. has fundamentally changed my perspective.. fav of the year so far and only halfway through

Her writing is so good.
