Does this get good at any point? I know everyone loves this, but this isn’t holding my interest so far.

Like watching a horror movie where you're screaming "don't go into the house!" But then the lead character goes into the house. And then you shout "don't go into the spooky basement!" BUT SHE GOES INTO THE BASEMENT ANYWAY. If I was a nailbiter, I'd have nothing left.

I had to stop because I was so worried about what would happen to the oxen. He loves those oxen so much, you just know something heartbreaking is going to happen to them.

Obvi I love literature, but I can only deal with so much *devastating content.* I can deal with challenges, but I have read enough about punishments inflicted on protagonists. Is that ok? Please recommend less punishing books!

Excellent, thorough and legible reporting.

I really liked it! A lot to think about for games and experience designers, but also business people and team leaders. This is the kind of book I don’t want to like—a lot of pop science with probably bad methodology, but it was well organized, applicable and pleasant.

Ok, this is a great book, but oh my god, so bleak bleak bleak. Why are books like this so compelling?
