Never read Maggie Stiefvater before but now she is my girl! This book shoots to top 3 YA fiction faves, I think. Sense of place: So strong I visit Thisby in my dreams. Appreciation of food details: Uh, she gives a RECIPE for November cakes at the end of the book. Are you reading my mind, MS? How do you know what I love?

I love how many muffins they eat in this book.

This book is so good so far but it actually hurts to read it. Which I guess is what anyone who wants to read about love in high school deserves.

To fit this in among all the YA novels I am trying to read, I treat this like a show that I get to watch once a week. Serialized Middlemarch! Totally recommend it.

It's getting good. Some futures are looking brighter, some are looking more and more doubtful !! Did everyone always love Dorothea as much as they do now? Her purity, while charming, is sometimes challenging to believe.

I think the last ten percent of this book has been build-up to the reading of Featherstone's will. If, like me, you took a bit of a break from the book and have forgotten certain things, it will certainly be a surprise the import of which is not entirely decipherable!

It's hard to read YA when there's so much, uh, old adult fiction out there... I only got like ten pages in before I had to return this to the library. Sorry, Libba Bray! I'll get around to you soon enough.

I usually read this late at night, when I can't sleep, a couple of pages at a time. So I say I'm always reading it.
