I am s t r u g g l i n g to stay focused. Feels repetitive in the day to say activities and how Callian acts with Viona. He's hot, but not my fave mmc.... started out promising when he kidnapped her and now it's like nothing in his world exists outside of Viona.

Okay. We jumped from Viona living at the palace with her insufferable father, to being kidnapped by a handsome "captor"... but I'm likin Callian so far🤔

Wait... I'm sooooo confused... I feel like I got whiplash from what was happening in the previous chapter to now.... is she dreaming?!

Having a bit of a hard time getting into it. But slowly pushing through

I honestly don't know why I waited so long to read this! I've read King of Scars and always thought about digging deeper into the Grishaverse. And I'm not disappointed. Rich world building and complex characters.

Doing my reread in anticipation of the third book

Ivy is kind of rubbing me the wrong way in this book. I'm not sure why; normally I love all of JLA's characters...

I'm not entirely sure about this yet.... I'm trying hard to give it a chance
