Just making a note that the second story, Faye, is some messed up and I love it.

Not quite getting into this. Maybe because it’s not the squishy soft sci-fi I prefer, maybe because it’s not cozy Christmas night reading, maybe because one chapter so far was written entirely in computer code. Will try again later. I do like that it centers on a frankly unlikeable female protagonist.

My mom was an absolute Fox News junkie, and many of my relatives still are. Fox News became a real point of argument for Mom & I in what I learned would be her final years. I cared for her, and oh, did I regret getting her a Sirius subscription when she found out she could play Fox News in the car, too! So I recognized the name Tobin Smith. This is close to my heart.

Beautiful bit of information by the co-author of this book—while Edie Windsor was living a mostly comfortable life in Philadelphia during WWII, her future wife was escaping Nazis in the Netherlands with her family!

This is a collection of short stories. So far, I really like The Principal's Ashes and Loser. One story was gory; most are creepy and disturbing, in a fun way.
