On Chap 3. Giving this a couple more chapters and if it's still "arrgh arrgh-ish" grumbling type of a vibe and nastiness I'm returning it. Narrator is great and will make it more interesting than reading if I stay with it. I always enjoy Keira's books & her great writing so if it wasn't one of her books I'd have dnf'd in the first chapter. It has to be me. Many of my favorite reviewers rave about it.

I'll give it some time, maybe come back later down the line. Just not feeling a full book angst fest until things magically resolve with the ending. I know, I know, I could have it all wrong. If so I will gladly address it. 

Apart from these thoughts: Teddy Hamilton is stellar as always, along with a fantastic accompanying cast. 

Under the impression she only wrote MF I hadn't read any of her books until Hopelessy Bromantic. Therefore unfamiliar with her style of story telling. But know she is wildly popular.

All this to say in chapter 5 I'm going to set it aside for now as Jude's character - which was hijacked to create the cliffhanger ending in book one - is soooo unlikable and my sense is it's only going to worse. 

Yikes. I'm odd-reader out so far. How are these 2 books even connected? I did this to myself. I became suspicious at that ending in book 1 after what had been a good, strong story up until then.

A sign I should have waited. I avoid angst for angst sake' books but am not that familiar with her writing and that might not be what's going in in this series. So I decided to let it go and waited for this second book.

Currently: Chapter 10.

Started Dec 7. GR mobile still does not sync with anything anywhere.

This book is not MM but the narrator is K.C. Kelly which makes it irresistible.

I'll keep listening of course because there's going to be a story here and maybe I missed something in the first three chapters. First I have to get the misconception of an 80yo out of my head.

Now I find out these two are 24yo and 37yo. Why is the 37yo coming off like man in his 80s, and the facility he was living in some old folks home/rehab for who knows what because there were 5150's and 12 Step residents?

Audio. In the first three chapters why was I under the impression that the MC's are a young guy and 80yo? I assumed they were friends and a love interest for (probably) the young guy had yet to be introduced?

Really enjoying this storyline, the writing style, the wonderfully interesting MC's. New to me author. Will be looking for more titles by her.

😳As enthralling as these r I've been skimming more than reading in last epi or so. Reading the author notes (which I appreciate) after TofC I'd hoped to get a glimpse of Mal&Seong-Jae before skimming started but it's not happening. Tho I can't do extreme graphic stuff plz know I still recognize the excellent writing & mind-blowing storytelling. And am in awe of all you who can! *follows slowly behind y'all*

Liking the story but Brent went from a grumbly, grandpa, likeable "old" man MC to the silver fox-type, sexual, dom-ish stranger I don't recognize. There was no unfolding of who he is. Not crazy about the sex parts atm.

Anyone? Has this book been pulled? It's not available anywhere nor is it listed.

GR is never going to make the app or GR on mobile devices via browser functional. It incorrectly shows that I’ve finished this book. No. I have not. I’m going to put it aside for now, unfknfinished, ffs.

No way is Owen emotionally or psychologically there yet but Declan has been forcing the issue without them having built ANY foundation for anything. Just Declan declaring shit, Owen being interested but confused & very much alone after 15yrs of the life he has been living.

I must be in a mood bc I just can’t get into this. The MC’s are interesting and hold my attention until the kinda’ daddy scenes at which time Declan begins to look like a punk rich kid who likes to hit. (Yeah, *spank* but...)
