There were some absolute twists in this one, but I loved it.

McKenzie is starting The Ultimate Pi Day Party (Baldwin Village, #1)
This was very entertaining. I laughed out loud several times and enjoyed the plot. The revelations of “actually, I do love this person!” felt a little rushed, but I did just come off a 6-book Bridgerton binge. Julia Quinn makes her revelations take a few pages and use lots of words, and this is a short book by comparison. Overall, I would recommend this to someone for a quick enjoyable read.

Idk how it’s been taking me so long, but I’ve finally picked it back up 👌🏻

McKenzie is starting Rest in Pieces: The Curious Fates of Famous Corpses
“Because the stories in this book reflect the culture of their time, you’ll notice a lot of dead white men. The corpses of women and people of color have also suffered many misadventures, but because most of their owners weren’t famous, they often didn’t fit the framework of this book — not that this is a project anyone would clamor to be included in.”

So far I'm liking this much better than my attempt to read The Casual Vacancy.
