I’m only 43 pages in and I’ve already teared up (in the most beautiful way) several times.

The honesty in this book is both refreshing and heartbreaking

I’m a little apprehensive about a graphic novel but this is the next book on our book club list and it’s the designated book for San Diego’s The Big Read this year… so here I go!

I just need to step away for a minute. Exploitation of children just sickens me. Fighting it has been part of both my personal and professional work for years now. Jennette’s writing is raw and honest and it also reflects whatever age she is in the scenes she paints for us.
I will keep reading and I will finish it. I also recommend that others read it too.

I love Kate Morton’s writing… how she shows us the ordinary moments of each character as she slowly reveals the extraordinary in each one. And isn’t that how it really is?

I am really enjoying this so far… the humor… the writing style… the characters. 💕

Didn’t finish. Story did not grab me

Just now getting past all of the Enneagram background stuff. While it’s full of things I already know, it’s always good to see different words and metaphors used for the types.
