This is a fantastic book! If only every American could understand the value and importance of the constitution and it's origins and intent.

If you're interested in an excellent history of Slavery and want to learn something about a complicated subject, read this to deepen and widen your understanding. If you'd rather stand on an idealogical and moral pedestal casting sweeping moral judgments upon people and times past, that you THINK you already know, then, I'm sure you'll want to pass on this and go on repeating the mistakes of the past.

I see so many people (some well intentioned) who post and comment about racism, and they've never read a word of Thomas Sowell. This man is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom about history, culture, economics and race. I've seen multiple admissions of being uneducated on this topic, so Why aren't people looking at his works and others like his? Instead it seems most turn to the very biased media for their education.

Ummm.... Read THIS Book. So interesting! And important for the current state of chaos.

An hour in and I'm hooked! This book is no well written and researched. If you want a better understanding of the differing cultures in America, read this book. I'm learning so much and can't wait to learn more!
