Actually finished this a while ago and just now remembered to update the status.
The movie stayed pretty true to the book, so I loved it just as much as the movie, which is a lot.

Almost finished my re-read of Kekkaishi! Going to start vol 31 soon which when finished will leave me with two to re-read and the final two I've never read.

Rereading the Kekkaishi series, and don't feel like adding the 30 books to my reading list.

The plot did finally pick up once I decided to speed through the book and ignore the writing as much as possible and only concentrate on the plot. I understand now why so many are cautious of Modesitt with the recluse series being his most famous, and hardest to get into series.

The writing is sooooo bad! I'm so glad Modesitt got a better editor eventually.
