I one hundred percent *loathe* spoilers, it's the reason I watched "Amelie" years after everyone else did. And, yes, it's why I'm reading "Rivers of London" only now.

Hm, it says "Space Opera" (it *is* set—for now—within the planet-spanning capital of an interstellar Empire) but actually it is a murder mystery set in that background with lots of political scheming involved set in that background. Which I am completely fine with.

Fascinating world-building, I love the naming conventions and the concept of imago lines (inherited/implanted memories). ♥
