I should rewatch eternal love instead

A lot has happened, healing, political intrigue, and pining, but, most definitely after learning there’s a second book, boo, it feels like we’ve only hit the halfway point of the story. The breakthroughs don’t feel substantial enough to me. It’s a quick, enjoyable read.

the high from binge-watching the anime has died. I'm invested in who/what the White Lady is, but things aren't moving. I am glazing over the political intrigue and economics. The only thing that will save the pacing is Mike Tyson making people kith.

It feels like two books glued together: the sequel or spin-off is attached. If the book ended at the halfway mark, without exploring life after/other relationships, I wouldn’t leave desiring for more. The figurative and literal chapter is complete. Now the rest of story is giving me even more of things I don’t want/need.

This book is erotica. Paying people a living wage and ensuring they have a good work/life balance for their mental health?!

So far, it's like watching Penny Dreadful, but without the sex and nudity and more sapphic. There are a lot of commas, asides, interjections, etc., which has me gasping for air trying to finish a sentence. Chop chop!

Watched the movie the first time and loved it. Listened to the audiobook and hated the first book. Rewatched the movie recently and didn’t like it as much. Yet here I am.

Starting to get good now. It takes a while to pick up.
