There are way too many houses and characters to the point where none of them mean anything to me so Luca’s real name reveal was super anti climatic

Hated the reveal that he was in love with her since college bc that ruined the main appeal of this rom com plot to me which is that they fall in love through the course of their fake dates and research trips

The divorce plot twist was great but the info dump way it was revealed felt so cheap

It’s very easy to read and compelling so I totally get why her books are so popular, even if quite archetypal and simple (I guess that’s the point isn’t it) but it also reeks of millennial-ness that’s a little cringey

If I had to drink every time something terrible and career ending happened on the eve of the “biggest competition of their lives” I would be hammered this is so stupid and repetitive

Messy to the point of being completely unbelievable oh my god this really is just a improv fanfic imo Kat is so messy-bun-not-like-other-girls too

Got to the answer to the mystery hanging in the background the entire book and the prose is so terrible that it’s presented like a news story it’s incredible what a flop this great reveal is

Because I dgaf about the characters and think they’re all so incredibly one dimensional, the drama is all sooooo childish and petty to me. No emotional depth at all

The prose feels very amateur - lots of telling not showing and overuse of adjectives/pithy one liners

Sadie is annoying (but not in an interesting way), Sam is hit or miss (getting more and more miss), Marx is so wonderful and lovely
