This book is addictive. Had to force myself away from it.

Terrible opening section where the author defends his right to talk about religion in scientific terms left me cold. I don't have time for such tediousness. I rarely don't finish a book -- but I couldn't finish this one.

Fun satire of the publishing industry! What could be more timely?

Thoughtful meditation on sex and power both in polite society and outside of it. Not for all readers, but if you're into underground books/alternative culture, this bizarro book is for you!

Fascinating book. Dense read, but well worth it.

Finished A MAZE OF DEATH and VALIS, the first two novels in this volume. Looking forward to working on the other two.

Four novels in this one volume. I read VALIS back in April, now reading A MAZE OF DEATH. I love this novel. It's such a quick read, very strange and thought-provoking. One of the better books I've read so far this year.

Love...this...book (so far). I can't believe it's only getting an average rating of 3.73 on Goodreads.

Still hanging in there...barely. This is starting to sound more like a hostage diary than a progress update.

I'm trying to hang in here with this one, but it's starting to lose me. The poor writing (or translation) just isn't working for me.

Awkwardly written (or perhaps translated?) at times, but still a fascinating study of how squirrely someone's head can get!
