A welcomed departure from my Tudor binge

A lot of death to read about while flying 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

So grateful to get lost in this world again, though I wish she would have kept Jane Boleyn as a bitch lol. Instead she’s way more remorseful and loving which seems weird after how rude and cunning she was in the other book.

Also I am back to reading via actual book instead of kindle, which is a nice change of pace.

This book is so good and I’ll be sad when it’s over. It’s a perfect getaway during the winter holidays.

I will read anything this woman writes!

This has been delightful, although I wish I weren’t reading it via kindle because I would like to go back and read the first 20 odd pages again to get my bearings. Will be finishing ASAP since the drama is so good!

Been tough to get around to it but when I do really enjoy it. It’s not the book, it’s me.

Another slam dunk from Emma! Her books are all the same style, and I love it. Multiple POVs, messy characters, something dramatic happens. They’re so easy to read and frothy and I’m happy to have this as a palette cleanser after Demon Copperhead.

Since this is a bootleg book my kindle isn’t showing me what real page I’m on and that’s ok. I remember seeing it IRL and it being thick.
I am so grateful to escape into this story as it seems I’ve been sick most of September.
Last night the story kept me up late as I am haunted by all the friends I have lost to overdose. It’s so mournful & sad to read this story. Prayers for everyone we have lost. 🕯️

I wish I had been able to smell the original Glossier You!

I can’t tell if I like this book or not but it’s entertaining enough.

This is blowing me out of the water.

I tried to read “These is my words” but turns out I don’t have the stomach or spirit for 1880s drama where 2 kids die in the first ten pages, even if it’s fiction.
Luckily this new book has made me laugh and shake my head in agreement within the first 1% of it.

I love TBA’s other work so I’m surprised it took me so long to come around to this novel but am happy to be reading it now. Classic Taffy- snappy and quippy but heartfelt and Jewish.

It’s fine I guess but not much going on. Luckily it’s a quick read.

After enjoying Big Little Lies, I’ve decided to try more Liane and this was a slow start but came to a head quickly. I’m glad for it, I was worried the ~secret~ would persist all the book but instead now we solve the secret!

Her main character in this one is also awfully relatable to me- high strung, for better or worse.

I’ve been slowly working my way through this and it’s fantastic though slightly too dates for me- but I had to skip the newborn/postpartum chapter entirely because it felt so raw and real. Some things never change.

Having a hard time getting into this book as the plot is slow-moving and just revolves around two people being awkward to each other.

This is a good book.
