Good lord! Are you telling me that these movies had OLD MEN playing a 35 YEAR OLD this WHOLE TIME? I mean sure 35 and a 17 yo is a bit of an age gap but at least it’s not a FIFTY year old like these movies have been making me think it is! Or 40+ at BEST Like why?? And why BOTH? And why did BOTH movies not have them move with a pianoforte with them? I mean … did they not bother with a separate script?

Just watched sense and sensibility again and I am amazed at what a GENIUS writer Jane Austen is! So incredible how everything happens in the story! The way the love stories mirror each other. How their love stories switch in the end! Just wow! Haven’t read the book yet and I think I just might next!

I’m feeling crazy because somehow I lost a book on my own shelves! I thought I rated it but now I can’t find it!

It’s a historical romance with a very serious hero who somehow gets the heroine to move to his house thinking she is to be a mistress but actually he is planning to marry her. There might have been letters exchanged between them but she doesn’t know it is he who she was writing to. Help!

There are THREE books that I want to read coming out tomorrow but NOTHING to read today! Ughghghghhghg

Just finished my summer classes. So happy I got through them 😭

It’s really painful. The melodrama is too much for me. How long will the author drag this stupid thing out? Everyone knows except the heroine what is going on and no one is telling her! It’s so frustrating!

I got mad at my book slump and downloaded a shit ton of random ass reverse harems. This is not going to go well …

This is such a bad start because if shit doesn’t make sense now.. where is this book going?

I’m not done ranting. No one’s first thought when they encounter a fire is “PUT IT OUT WITH AIR!”

For a second I thought she was 14 but no, this bitch is SEVENTEEN.

And it makes zero sense that a student would get expelled from an accident of the FIRST class on FIRST day of school.

It especially makes no sense that a student with all 12 marks would get expelled since it’s supposed to be so RARE.

Fine. She dumb. Makes an explosion, gets sent to principals office.
The second DUMB thing is that the principle tells her she should get expelled for that!! I’m like.. what? That makes zero sense. Why?? They’re teaching magic. They’re not even teaching. They’re just saying: do it. Of course crazy shit will happen.

If that’s how this book continues I’m not gonna make it.

Huh? This book is not making sense. Like. At all.
So, this empty headed girl, in her first class is asked to make fire with zero direction. She does and it gets out of control. This genius thinks of trying to put out a FIRE with AIR.

How many times have I picked this book up? 3? 4 times? I’ve yet to get past even a third of it! It must get better! It starts well but then gets bogged down like crazy. Let this be my last try! I have the book and the audio, I’m determined to get through!

I guess it’s probably my fault. I have a girlfriend named “Ash” (short for Ashley)so I must’ve just associated that name with a woman 😭😂

Ok, not a good start. I thought the hero POV was the heroine and when he mentioned his girlfriend breaking up with him I thought to myself “Interesting! We have a bi heroine!” And then when the heroine showed up I was like “Oops.. did I grab a lesbian romance on accident?” No I didn’t. No idea why the hero came off as a woman to me. I even pictured him with his 2 twin sisters.. as the three triplet SISTERS. Umm..

I see now why I’ve been grumpy. Other people can have three goodreads shelves full of 3 star reads and still continue but that’s just not me. The joy of catching that 5 star read is too addicting😭😭

I just spent 2+ hours on booktube with zero results. Why do they all talk about the same books over and over?? Ughhhhhg

Ugh. The book slump is real and it sucks.

I’m not as taken with this h as I was with the h in the first book there seems to be quite a large difference in intelligence and nerve between her and the hero. At the moment he’s treating her quite cavalierly and all she manages is to weep and faint and be overcome. I know there will be character growth later in the book but this part is difficult to read through since I have little sympathy for stupidity.
